Rainbow Button Corset

  • Completed Project: Rainbow Button Corset Picture #1

A happy little button-covered corset.

I did not make the corset, but it was laying around in my closet and needed new life. Do you think I should put buttons on the other half as well, or rather leave it as it is?

totally as is! Because its more of decoration like this, it would be more... the theme if it was all? Idk, how to explain it. But yea... :D

I think it might be neat to 'swish' a few buttons down the unbuttoned side... slowly hemming off into the black, I can't describe it, but I'll see if I can't dial up some time on Photoshop at work. (We're encouraged to 'dabble' in computer programs, yay!)

I would put maybe a trail of buttons across the other side, yeah, like a swish! Kinda whimsical swirl or trail.

I have the same corset as you, or at least one very similar! :D

Did you just sew the buttons on through all the layers of fabric and padding or did you rip seams to hide the button threads?

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Jenny Bones: I got the corset at Charlotte Russe, so if you got yours there it's probably the same one. I actually have another one in a cream color. :D And I didn't rip any seams, I just poked the thread through all the layers.
