Quilted Trivets

A great beginner quilting project!
I saw this project on one of those free leaflets that you get at a craft store and I HAD to make it!
It was very easy! Simple sewing. I normally hand sew appliques but I did this all on the sewing machine (except the words, I hand stitched those).
They go perfectly with my kitchen theme. They are too pretty to actually use so I will be hanging them on my wall instead.
I love the raw edge look (or would you call this shabby chic?)! lol!
