You will need:
-2 Pieces of material 7'' long and 10'' wide
-1 piece of material that is 4'' long and 12'' wide for the closure flap
-Material for the strap (approx. 16'' long)
-Buttons snaps or zippers to close your bag

-Place the two larger pieces of material together with the outsides facing.
-Sew them together as illustrated
-On one side do not sew all the way up as illustrated to the left.

-Hem around the outer edges of the top flap.(As shown at left)
-Turn bag right side out
-Attach top flap to bag. (Be sure to sew the flap on so that the right side is facing out and the seam is inside)

At this point, your bag should look like this.

Fold the strap piece in half.

Place the strap piece between the unfinished edge of the bag and sew it together as illustrated.

Add buttons or a zipper to close your bag.
