Q party costume on a budget - So yummy!
This is my first "how to" so please shout out if something isn't clear.

This can be altered for any celophane wrapped sweet.

  • Step 1

Take 1 full sheet of celophane and fold it in half. On the folded side, in the middle cut out a "head hole". I made mine with a V-neck at the front so there was a bit more breathing room.

  • Step 2

Using sticky tape, tape around the "head hole" so that the cellophane doesn't split while you are wearing it. Ultimately you are making a celophane tabbard.

  • Step 3

On a long strip of foil use a permanent marker to colour in the logos for the sweet you are making. I did "Quality Street" logos as I was going to a Q party.

  • Step 4

Tape the foil with logos to the inside of your celophane. I stuck mine a little bit higher then the bottom of the celophane so I could tape a little turn over "hem" for extra strength.

After this step the main body of your costume is complete.

  • Step 5

Taking another sheet of celophane cut it in half length ways. Using to hair ties create little arm cuffs to look like the "twist" endings of the sweet.

  • Step 6

Slip on the arm bands and the "tabbard". You can tape closed the side parts if you would like. I left mine open to keep cool.
