Burned decorations on wooden objects
Of course you can use real pyrography tools, but I don't have them. Instead I use a magnifying glass on a sunny day and lots of time on my balcony.

The time required for the project of course depends on the size of your object and design.

The wooden plates you see featured here were bought at a very cheap store we have in the Netherlands (Action). The little stool I found on the street.
I also decorated wooden spoons and spatulas, but didn't take pictures of those yet.

I draw the design (self made or seen on the internet) with pencil on the wooden object and then use the magnifying glass to gather the sunbeams into a burning hot point to trace the lines and color the fields.
Be sure to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes, the burning point will be very bright.

The plates are finished by polishing them with walnut oil so the wood won't come apart in the dish water. You can actually eat off them.

The stool is still a work in progress. I didn't finish it before winter came and you really need a clear sky to focus the sun beams.
