Any type of picture frame will work but ones with a flat frame work the best (it's tough to glue things onto curved frames).
Find a puzzle that you wouldn't want any more (dollar stores usually have puzzles).
I used a hot glue gun to glue the puzzle pieces on but any type of glue will work. Keep adding pieces till the entire frame is covered.
Then you can add other embellishments to it. I covered some of the pieces in glitter, beads, charms, etc.
