Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

You need 2 big triangle-shaped orange feathers, & 2 small green feathers.
    *
First i trimmed down the 'fluffy' feathers on the tops, to look more clean & rounded. And cut the stems so theyre roughly the same length.
For green, you can cut/shape regular feathers down that small...if u have to.

  2. Step 2 2

    Time to make face!
    *
Sketch out the face u want ur pumpkin to have, to give u an idea to copy. Heres mine...pretty basic.

  3. Step 3 3

Take a small paintbrush & dip it in modpodge. Carefully dab on 2 "rainbow shaped" eyes, in middle of feather.
Then a square-teethed pumpkin smile underneath.
    *
Go slow to try not to mess up bc you canNOT wipe it off. And dont press hard, or the feather will break apart & wont stick back together. :/
If you dont have steady hands or drawing skills, you might want to practice on paper or crappy feather first. lol

  4. Step 4 4

Quickly, before it dries, sprinkle Fine Black Glitter overtop it.
    *
(Im using Super-fine glitter from 'Martha Stewart' scrapbooking ...the smaller glitter the better)

  5. Step 5 5

Wait a few seconds, then lift & tap the glitter off. Once its totally dry you can blow off the few excess glitter.
    *
Make it permanent glitter by painting over the glitter face with gloss-modpodge again. (This does not affect the shinyness of the glitter once its dry)

  6. Step 6 6

    Now attach it all together!
Layer green feather over orange, & attach together at ends with "crimp bead". Try to angle the green feather out to one side, like a leaf. ;)

  7. Step 7 7

Cut the points off the orange feather, and round it out ...like a pumpkin.

  8. Step 8 8

Attach to earring hooks, and your done!
    *
    HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
