3/3 of my prom collection: Hair: Easy, elegant, and pretty. <3
I'm all about easy, I mean, that's what DIY is about, right? That and saving money. Seeing as my prom really isn't until the 23rd, I wasn't going to go and do something extremely drastic to my hair. Plus, my eyes are dramatic and I don't want to compete with my focus area: my eyes.

This is just a variation of the Gibson Tuck, a previous project of mine.

Put your hair unto a a high pony tail. Even girls with shoulder length hair can do this. :]

    Step 2

Split your hair at the top of the pony tail. Simply take your fingers at the top of the pony rail, where the elastic is, and just separate it so you have a pocket.

    Step 3

Shove your pony tail into the pocket you just made. It will look like a roll, which is the purpose.

Oh no! See my elastic? You're not supposed to see it, which is why you use an elastoc that is either clear to the color of your hair. But, I didn't have one, so we have to hide it.

    Step 4

Tuck your hair as tight as possible into the hair pocket. Bobby pin the fudge out of it, unless you are blessed with hair that cooperates.

  • Step 5

Add more bobby pins so it stays. Hairspray is good, too.
The place where you separated the pony will looks weird, so, that's when you take hair from the other sides and brush it towards the middle and bobby pin to make the area look less sparse.

    Step 6

Manipulate it. This is very vague, but, you might have to manipulate the hair to look even (i.e. making the hair look like it's be rolled in, rather than having a huge lump where you tucked your hair is.

  • Step 7

If you have hair in the front, like I do, curl it, twist it, do something cute. :] This is some artistic freedom, take advantage of it.

You can accessorize you with a bow or a pin/slide.

Final product, eyes, face and hair.
That is not my prom dress, this was my homecoming dress. I don't have a prom dress yet, but I'm thinking of reconning my homecoming dress into a prom dress. I'm not sure, though.
