  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut a rectangle of material.
Width must be 2 or 3 cm longer then a pencil
A quarter of the length will be the height of your pencil case.
Use any material but ones that fray less are a little easier to handle.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Fold the two ends in so they meet in the middle and sew along the two vertical edges. Don't sew the edges that meet in the middle!!

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Now turn the bigger looking pocket inside out. You will now have one pocket facing you and one not.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Fold in half.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Position so the pocket you turned inside out is on the bottom and the open edges of the pockets are on the top.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Put the pocket on the top inside the pocket on the bottom.

  7. Step 7

Now fold over the unsewn edge and hem.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

You can sew on velcro, buttons or popper. I used Velcro.
ANd Finally add decorations such as felted flowers, buttons and beads.
