A left shoe. Yay.
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

My old shoes are completely wrecked so I figured I'd go out and buy some cheap knock-off keds at Target.

Unfortunately they were super boring so I decided to design them to intertwine with the album art for Panic at the Disco's Pretty.Odd.

I have a very important question I must ask:
I've seen people seel shoes with Modpodge here but in those situations they were painting rather than drawing with Sharpie.
Would that still work or would it completely ruin everything?

I sealed my shoes with shoe sealer. They were painted with acrylics a few months ago and still look perfect (through rain and mud and heat etc). I havent ever worked with sharpies but they're permanent markers correct? I doubt they would need sealing but I would seal them just to be certain. I wouldnt advise using modge podge though, it may make the colours run, I'd go for the canvas spray sealers you can get in shoe shops.

They look great by the way. ^^

I think the modpodge would be a bad idea. I just have a feeling that the moisture would make all the colors run. You could try it on a piece of scrap fabric, if you were impatient or short of cash, to see if it would be ok before putting it on your shoe. But I'd want to use the spray stuff...

i agree i think modge podge would be abd idea i dont think it would make the color run but if it ever got wet it would re constitute itself and turn white. i decopged (sp) a glass with it and we left it in the sink and thats what happened so i assume that thats what would happen with your shoes and they look so great it would be horrible if they got ruined!!!!

I have seen outdoor modpodge...I would try that on something other than those wonderful shoes to make sure it doesn't disintegrate and return to it's gooey state once you step in a puddle
