  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Pick some pretty leaves and flowers in you Garden. It would be nice if they were all different types and colours. Cut off any poky stems so they lie as flat as they can. Place them into the back of a heavy book and leave for about a week. (You can do some jumping and dancing on the book to get the flowers pressed, if you want to!)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

When a week,or two, has passed get the book down from wherever you put it and really carefully peel the flowers off the page. They should be wafer thin and if thy're not prehaps give them another week to flatten. Glue them onto some pretty paper to keep or use as greeting cards

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Another Idea is making a bookmark:
Collect all th flowers you want and press them using the same method as above. Arrange the flowers on a strip of coloured card. Stick sticky back plastic over the top. Voila!

These are great to make cards with and it looks classy, yet fresh.

As some flowers can stain pages, you may want to lie the flower between a layer of wax paper on each side (it also make it easier to remove as some flowers can become very brittle or stick to the page of the book).
