This is a traditional snack sold outside schools in Mexico, usually the durito o "chicharron preparado" measures 7 x 4 in and the toppings are placed on top, like a "tostada". This project is made out of the smaller duritos ( 2 x 2) so it´s like canapes. They add one more ingredient, that is called "cueritos" or pickled pork.
1
place the duritos o "chicharrones de harina" on the plate. flat ones look better but curled ones hold more toppings.
2
slice some cabbage and cut into small pieces, then add a small portion to each durito
Note: Traditionally, at this point, the sour cream is placed on the durito before adding anything, to hold the toppings, but i did it after the toppings to prevent the durito getting soaked.
3
add a tomato slice on each durito
4
Also add an avocado slice on each durito, like so.
5
Now drip some sour cream on the duritos.
6
Finally add some hot sauce and you´re done!! Enjoy :D
