Simple potato-printed leopard pattern transforms a plain cardigan in to fabulousness! Simple but fairly time consuming, however well worth it.

You Will Need

Step 1
First, cut your stamps. Cut about a third off the end of a small potato, so you've got a chunky enough piece to hold in your hand whilst you stamp. I used 9 different shapes.

Step 2
Cut various leopard spot shapes - some circles with the middle cut out, some curved shapes, some small spots. (see finished photo or an existing leopard garment you own for inspiration) Cut away the background to leave the shape standing proud. Use a teaspoon or the end of a potato peeler to scoop out any complicated shapes.

Step 3
Put some sheets of newspaper behind each piece of the cardigan as you print, in case the paint soaks through.

With a small paint brush, paint fabric paint on a stamp, press onto the cardigan. Repeat all over. Work in sections, taking care to fill the area evenly with stamped spots. Leave each section to dry before moving on. Each time you move to a different section, don't forget to move your newspaper to protect each area. With the sleeves, so a section at a time, turning the sleeve as it dries. Take care to stamp over the edges and button band occasionally.

Step 5
Once it's dry, follow the instructions for your fabric paint, if it needs ironing to fix it. I used Dylon, which requires ironing on a low heat setting, with a piece of fabric between the iron and the item.
