Easy and very tipical portuguese recipe! :D
This is a very easy and tipical recipe from Portugal. There are many different ways to do this but were I live we have some nice fresh clams so I'm doing the Pork to Alentejo way. If you don't have clams you can do it the same without them, and then you'll call it Pork to Portuguese, it's just like that :)
If there's a place I would like to eat it'd be in Japan, to know how real japanese Sushi and Sashimi tastes like <3

  • How to cook a pork dish. Pork To Alentejo Portuguese Recipe - Step 1
    Step 1

Before we cook the pork, I season it with Red Pepper, Garlic Powder and Salt. Mixed well and lftt it rest.

    P.S:.
    a) if you don't have garlic powder you can always put 2 smashed garlic cloves in the pan in the next step.
    b) if you don't like your food salty don't put much, the chorizo will do that latter on.

Put them into water with Salt so we don't have to salt them afterwards.

After the 10 minutes, put some chorizo (as much as you like) and the clams into the pork pan. 10 more minutes.

P.S.: If you don't want to put clams that's okay, the only difference is that instead of Pork to Alentejo you'll call it Pork to Portuguese.

The clams are important. If you have the possibility, find some fresh clams, local even. The taste will be very different from the frozen and international ones.
