I made a model of my birthday cake this year, since I didn't have any pictures of it, and had cake colored clay left over....then another cake inspired by the same cafe that my birthday cake was bought from...and STILL had clay left over, so....more cake!

thanks Happy
I learned cake texturing from a blogger that goes by craftcandies on wordpress...coincidentally mypetitecakes also uses the same technique and she has a video of texturing cakes on youtube...to make it look more like actual cake, it's actually translucent clay mixed with a tiny bit of dark yellow. Everything went in the oven (the rhinestones ended up a bit warped, but they still look okay) Happy

Translucent liquid sculpey mixed with clay, but you can get the same effect with mixing vanilla scented oil with a bit of clay until you get the right texture (and then it'll also smell like cake Happy)
