Wear your cake without getting messy!
I had a lot of fun making these! They are really catching peoples eyes and a few of my friends already asked for some! They also make great gifts :)

  • How to sculpt a clay cake. Polymer Clay Cake Charms - Step 1
    Step 1

    First you will need 3 cakey colored balls and 2 balls (slightly smaller) for the icing.

    Step 2

    Flatten 'em all.
    (the cakey color should be a tad thicker!)

    Stack them tightly like so.

    Roll out a snake and flatten it.

    Wrap your snap around your cake stack.

    Step 6

    Make another icing ball and flatten!
    Put on top of the cake and smooth the edges.

    Step 7

    Twist up another snake and wrap around the top edge of the cake.

    Slice as you please!

    Step 9

    Add eye pins!
    Cook at 250 degrees for 15 minutes
    (I cooked mine at 230 for 12 minutes because my oven is radonk.)

I don't think they are supposed to explode. Mine haven't ever exploded. But maybe you are thinking of something else.
