I've been wanting to make a clip out of cards, I finally got around to it, and I'm pretty happy with it :)

I cut out petal shapes in the cards, painted the back black (they were obnoxious tie-dye colors) and for the middle I rolled a sliver of card. and then LOTS of hot glue.
