a retro use for Play-Doh
I got really bored and looked around in my closet and I found some old play-doh. It was still moist! So I decided to make a bracelet out of some of it.

  • How to sculpt a clay bead bracelet. Play Doh Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

    Step 1: Take a piece of play-doh out of one of the tubs and start rolling it up into a ball. Do this with assorted colors of dough or just one color. Make as many ball as you like. (these are going to be your beads)

    Step 2: After you finish creating the balls get your toothpick and gently drill it into the center of your ball. Make sure it goes all the way through. Do this to all of the balls you made. Guess what? You just made some beads.

    Step 3: Then, let the play doh beads dry. This will take a couple of hours. So, sit back and watch a long movie if you like. ^_^

    Step 4: Once your beads are dry, take your string and begin putting your beads through. Add extras like plastic beads or charms if you like. I chose to add star charms.

    Step 5: And last but not least tie the ends of your bracelet together. Make sure it's a secure knot. Then you're good to go!

I Air dry mine and while that i put pva glue on it. Its still soft but it doesnt crack Happy

I actually tried to make beads with play doh tonight... i put them in the oven and mircowave.. both failed me. In the mirowave they burnt and smelled funny. In the oven for 40 mins on 350 degrees they turned black and hardend ... maybe i should air dry them lol

i have playdoh i havent made it but i do want to but doesnt get white dust on iy from drying?

so cute! but i'd glaze it with some sculpey glaze, for cute shine. ^^;
