I used the same idea and used the base for these out of a plastic bottle. Instead of using nail polish or paint, I wrapped one with yarn and the other with multiple colors of embroidery floss. After wrapping them I used 'Stretch Magic' string to apply beads. This is a great way to recycle and its really quick and easy and alot of fun!
