He looks perfectly at home wherever you wear him!
I tried air dry clay, Fimo, resin and plaster none of which give a great result. I am quite satisfied with plaster... though worry because its such a fragile material. I added a bit of woodglue to strengthen it and a bit of detergent to prevent air bubbles.

Picture two shows all three attempts with plaster. The first gnome contains just plaster the second contains plaster and woodglue and the third contains plaster, woodglue and a drop of detergent.
