My orchids weren't getting enough light in my home, so I made this window and installed some lights over it.
The shelf is a half-moon window I bought at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $15. I mounted the bottom on L brackets and hung the top from chains. Make sure you hit studs!

Great project! I have a lot of plants and often run out of window space for them. This could also work well as an indoor garden! Thanks!

What a great idea! If I do this, I can get more orchids and my dh can't say boo. :)
