You Will Need

Step 1Remove pocket with seam ripper.

Step 2Cut off sides and sleeves to fit your body.

Step 3Cut new sleeve cap about 8 inches down from original shoulder seam.

Step 4Sew new side seams.

Step 5Switch sleeves (right becomes left and left becomes right). This will put the cuff buttons on the fronts of your arms for a decorative detail. Reattach sleeves to armholes.

Step 6Cut pocket slightly smaller.

Step 7Press edges of pocket inward.

Step 8Reattach to shirt a bit closer to the button band than its original location.

Step 9Remove extra cuff button with seam ripper.

Step 10Sew this button halfway up the cuff slit, through both layers, to keep it from gaping when you bend your elbow.
