Gather the things together. Its way easier this way.

To show you how easy this nail design is, I'm gonna be doing it on my right hand [I'm right-handed ;-)]
You want to paint your nails pink. Two coats should do. Ensure the nails are completely dry before you go on to the next step.

Cut a small section of the clear tape. Be sure to cut it straight. Also use clear scotch tape, and not the translucent tape. I found that the translucent tape pulled off my nail polish when they were removed.

Place the tape on as shown in the picture. Place it from the centre, then press from the centre to each side of the nails. Make sure u press firmly so that the edges of tape on the nail adhere on well. If this is not done properly, you won't get the clean line we're going for.

Paint from on the tape to the tips of the nail. This will ensure a nice crisp line.. It's gonna be a little weird looking, but let it dry partially.

When its half dry, slowly remove the tape. Remove it from side to side to not smudge the tips. You should end up with this. Let it draw completely before moving along.

Dip the toothpick into the black nail polish. You want a small amount on the tips so don't dip too far. (My toothpick has on soo much black because my black is running low and thick lol)

Here is how to draw on the pattern:
Start from the ends of your nail and paint to the centre. Do this on both sides. This makes the black on the edges thicker, and towards the centre thinner. Then paint a stripe in the centre.
The pattern is: Two coming from the sides, one in the centre and repeat.

You should end up with something looking like this. Feel free to enlarge any photo to take a better look at the pattern on the tips.

Add a top coat and that's it! Go show off your nails =)
