Giving life to an old piece of furniture
I inherited this chest of draws from my Great Grandad, sorry I haven't got any pictures of it before, but it wasn't pretty. It was stained in a very dark brown wood stain that looked almost black, and had white plastic handles that were snapped and broken.

I removed the handles, fixed some of the draws that were broken, and then painted it in a white base coat.

I then painted it in a top coat of pink and added a flower stencil to it, just to make it pretty.

This is where I keep all my craft stuff, eventually I mean to do up the inside as well, so everything can remain lovely and orginised, but I need some matching pink fabric for that yet. But from the outside at least it looks pretty now. It's probably much happier being used that being all abandoned in the shed.
