Altered Poker Chip Brooch
This altered poker chip brooch was made from a poker chip I picked up at the thrift store. I used mod podge to attach a paper punched circle from a damaged book into the inverted center of the chip. I then sponged on two coats of gesso to prepare a base. I further altered the color with pink acrylic paint and oil pastels. The flower pixie is from Artchix (hats in bloom) collage sheet. Varnish was applied as a sealant. Three mini red pompoms are attached to give the brooch some kitsch appeal and dimension. The pin back is attached with glossy accents.
