Preppy Pin Board

This is my first project <3! however it was a bit of a disaster ...

I had an old pin board that I was going to throw away but decided I could use it if it looked a bit better then its plain old self.

Process -

I removed the frame from the board, found some material to cover it, cut it larger then the board and glued the fabric to the board at the back using craft glue that said it would stick fabric and waited for it to dry

- big mistake - the fabric didn't stick very well and started to come off so i used a few drawing pins and pinned around the edge to secure the material
(note: make sure the pins don't stick through the fabric on the front of the board otherwise when you lean on it to pin something you'll get pricked)

- also had to use the pins to secure the ribbon to hang the board up

Thoughts
Its been hanging in my bedroom all night with one card stuck to it and it hasn't fallen down :)

Next time
I will use a glue gun! I'm going to purchase one and glue this again
