Picture Cuff

Spice up your wrists with customized picture cuffs.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut a strip of paper long enough to fit around your wrist.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Cut out a bunch of pictures from magazines.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Cover the paper in a collage of uniqueness.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Cut two strips of clear vinyl and pin the paper in place.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Sew around the edges of the paper, removing the pins as you go.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Trim off any excess threads and the excess plastic.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Press in popper studs at either side of the cuff.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    Your cuff is now ready to wear.

Vinyl isn't sticky on one side, I think you're thinking of sticky plastic that you can use to cover books. You should be able to pick up some vinyl in your local fabric store.

That's a great idea to make one with photos in, I'm sure your mum will love it - make sure to take a photo of how it turns out.

you can get the vinyl at walmart in the fabric section. there's different thicknesses, but they're all real cheap. ^_^

Great idea! I made something simular, but instead of paper I use for the inside and outside fabric who i handpainted with acrylic paint.

This is a good idea. I've done this a few times but I usually just use clear duct tape. Vinyl's probably a lot sturdier though...

I want to try this so badly - Instead of cutting out stuff from magazines though I intend to just draw the images on :D
