  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 1
    Step 1

i crocheted this very simply and began by chaining my preferred length across for my pouch (see red line). it should be atleast a little wider than your phone.

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 2
    Step 2

single crochet along the chain, turning your work and crocheting back along when you reach the end. you should repeat this until you have crocheted to atleast twice the length of your phone (maybe a bit longer just to be safe)

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 3
    Step 3

we now start to slowly decrease in order to create the flap of our pouch. i was extremely distracted when making mine so rather than paying attention and doing it systematically, i went with what looked right (sorry for lack of detail, im not good at this >_<)

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 4
    Step 4

one youve successfully decreased to create a flap its time for sewing. you may wish to use either normal cotton thread or wool (and appropriate needle). using picture for referance, fold along the blue line first then sew along the red ones.

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 5
    Step 5

you should now pretty much have a pouch without a handle or button fasten...can you guess what we're doing next? thats right, go get some biscuits ^_^ (thats what i did)..
no, we're making the handle and button fasten.
to make the handle, chain the length youd like and then single crochet along the chain (i did so only once for a spaghetti strap, but to make it thicker simply turn and crochet back along as many times as youd like). once finished, sew in place.

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 6
    Step 6

the button which we will sew on soon needs a hole to go into right? so crochet a small chain and single crochet back along. this small line of crochet will be sewed on to the end of your pouch flap. it should not be too long, making the hole so large that it's loose around the button (else the pouch wont stay closed).

  • How to make a button pouch. Phone Pouch - Step 7
    Step 7

close the flap in order to appropriately place your button, then sew it in place.
there you go, a finished pouch. test it out :) make them in many different colours to co-ordinate with different outfits and try different sizes ^_^ have fun
