Pencil Skirt To Layered Circle Skirt

Shortening a kneelength pencil skirt into a mini and add a circle skirt on top.
I bought a jacket and it came with a very light pink pencil skirt. The skirt wasn't very snug on my, but the waistband was perfect. the skirt was soo light colored that it was a bit see through, So I simply cut a circle skirt, hemmed it, sewed it just below the waistband of the skirt. I then shortened the pencil skirt by 4 inches with a one inch hem. Before I hemmed the pencil skirt though, I took in the sides of it a little but so it would fit a little better. The parts that took the most time was hamming the circle skirt and sewing the circle skirt opening around the existing zipper on the back of the pencil skirt.
