Pencil Roll Tutorial!
I didn't had the time to take pictures for the tutorial. But I had the time for drawing one. You can see the picture larger when you click on it. Enjoy it!

  • How to sew a roll-up pouch. Pencil Roll - Step 1
    Step 1

    !- This pattern is for 13 (normal thick ) pencils. Do you have more, add for every pencil 2 cm extra .
    14 pencils will be 20x32cm
    15 pencils will be 20x34 cm etc. Add it also on your ribbon!

    Fold your fabric and Iron. This will be the pocket for the pencils

    Cut a piece of your ribbon. For this pattern 30 cm. Pin to place and sew

    Step 4

    Place the pocket part on the part for the inside. Pin it to place and mark where your pencil pockets has to be. !! Use 2cm for each pencil. Not smaller!! Sew the lines

    Fold the left over ribbon double and pin in the middle of the short side. Sew

    Add the piece of fabric for the front with the outside in on top of the pocket part. And pin to place.
    !- do you use lightweight fabric iron on the interfacing first!

    Step 7

    Sew around, but leave a gap so you can turn it inside out!

    Then Turn inside out and iron flat

    Step 8

    Sew around, this gives a nice finish and your turning hole is closed.

    You are done, congratulations!

    tips & hints!
    You can't never Iron to much!! repeat after every step. This wil give you a very finishing touch!
    *Je kan nooit te veel strijken!! Herhaal na elke stap. Dit zorgt voor een mooie finishing touch!

This is a great idea! You could add pictures showing it rolled up and tied with the ribbon.
