Would this work for and type of shirt? By the way, this is super cute. I've been looking everywhere for one of these. Now I can make it myself!

This is really cute, but isn't the elastic too tight stretching half a shirt's worth around an entire shirt? Maybe it's just my inexperience with a sewing machine, and elastic in particular. Also, do you sew along the middle of the elastic or the edges?

How large of a man's shirt did you use? Just wondering if I would have to sew up the sides first.

Did you sew a chasing for the elastic (neckline+sleeves) or did you do it the same way as you described in step 3?

I think it might work if you took out the sleeves and made it a tube top. What do you think?

sorry i didnt put it in there
but i used 1/4" elastic
when i'm making peasant tops from scratch tho, i use two lines of shirring each at the neck and at the sleeves sometimes...so thats an alternative if you don't have elastic Happy

I may have missed it, but what size/type of elastic did you use?

I adore this tutorial, what a great way to have something cute with being so exposed.
