pasta, beans, yum
i got this recipe from my mom who found it in a magazine..
the recipe calls for capicola, but i dont eat meat, so i left it out..

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

    2 cans reduced sodium chicken broth (14 1/2 ounces each)

    2 cans no salt added tomato souce
    (8 ounces each)

    1 teaspoon italian seasoning

    1/2 pound ditalini pasta

    2 cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed (15 ounces each)

    1/4 pound capicola

    1/2 teaspoon salt
    (i thought it needed more salt)

    1/4teaspoon black pepper

  • Step 2

    heat oil in saucepan over medium-high heat.. add garlic and cook 1 minute , stir in broth, 2 cups water, the tomato sauce and italian seasoning.. bring to a boil, add pasta, simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.. stir in beans,capicola, salt and pepper.. heat through.. serve warm with grated parmesan cheese.. i put lots and lots of cheese o_o
