I got a book from the library on folk crafts. This was under Poland; I forget what it was called exactly--started with a "w." I picked a design that I liked from a design book (make sure it's symmetric down the middle). Fold the paper in half so that the folded edge will be the center of the design. Draw the design on the paper and cut it out. Glue it onto a sheet of construction paper in a contrasting color.
