  1. Step 1

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl. Make a hole in the middle of the flour and crack the egg into that hole.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Tip a small amount of the milk ( About a third)on to the egg. Mix together slowly in circular movments, getting bigger and adding more milk.

  3. Step 3

Gradually mix the rest of the milk in with the flour, salt and egg.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Mix furiously until there are no bits left.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Add some butter to the frying pan and put on a medium heat.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

when the butter starts melting add a few tablespoons of the batter.

  7. Step 7

Quickly swirl it around so it covers the bottom of the pan.

  8. Step 8

Cook for about a minute or until you think the bottom is brown and the batter is not sticking to the pan.

  9. Step 9

If you are up to it then flip the pancake and skip the next step.

  10. Step 10

My way of flipping the pancake (Safley) is by sliding it onto a plate. I lift the plate up And quickly flip it, and so does the pancake and it falls on to the pan the other way. :)

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

Cook until that side is brown.

:) I love pancakes, make 'em a lot. It's good to see someone who doesn't complicate the mix, egg flour and milk are really all you need for great pancakes.. sept for the topping of course! I'll just usually go with golden syrup since i rarely have much food in the house :/... but i love them just the same. Ooh and yeah boyfriends love 'em, would be good breakfast in bed for them since they are a blank canvas n could write stuff on them in chocolate, syrup or whateve :D

Lemon and sugar, blinder!
Good job with the mix. Finding the right pan for the job is hard, you need a flat bottom and preferably curved sides for the flip.
When melting chocolate in the microwave, be careful not to let it burn.
Some people use sunflower oil instead of butter, because it gets alot hotter. I personally prefer the butter, if your going to have pancakes, might as well make it as fattening as possible!
