Homemade Pan Am Bag
I created this bag this October 2012. I was a Pan Am Stewardess for Halloween and the authentic Pan Am Bags were just way to expensive so I decided to create one myself! I ordered a blue lunch bag from amazon.com for about $8. So after using it for my costume I totally use it for lunch with the addition of the cute design!

    Step 1

First I found a cute little lunch bag on amazon.com for $8 to use for my bag.

Then I did a web search and found a Pan Am Logo from the internet and printed it on card stock paper. Thicker paper will help with using an X-Acto knife and painting later.

Next I then cut out logo with scissors leaving about 1.5 inches around the circle of the logo. Then using an Xacto Knife cut out the black portion of the Pan Am Logo and keep the middle portion with the Pan Am Logo which I'll use later.

Then I taped the stencil to my lunch bag and painted the logo using white fabric paint to fill out the stencil using a tapping motion. Do this nice and steady to make sure the paint doesn't bleed under the solid lines of the logo.

I then let it dry completely (will vary depending on fabric paint your using).

I then retrieved the Pan Am lettering from the original stencil and cut it out. I then painted the letters the same blue color (fabric paint I purchased with the white paint) as the lunch bag and let it dry.

I then used Modge Podge to glue the lettering to the center of the bag. I also used Modge Podge on top of the logo to seal in the lettering on top of the bag as well. I used Mod Podge glossy but you can use Mod Podge Matte. I let it dry overnight and applied Modge Podge again the next day just to seal in the logo.

    And voila your done!
