I also tried this tecnique withmy layered converses, Not a fan of the results. I think that it's important to use a ballpoint pen for designs instead of sharpies, and to use thinner paintbrushes (I used cheap crayola ones for poster painting!) investing in a big tube of white acrylic was a great idea though!!
