    Organize supplies:
    I got some cheap votive holders at evil super-giant Wal-Mart and used some paints that were sitting around. For the painting tools I chose a sponge and a sponge-like brush.

    I taped off one of the candle holders with some masking tape and proceeded to paint over the entire surface with a sponge-tipped brush.

    For the other holders I used a sponge to sponge-paint. I think that these came out the best looking out of the two methods.

    Step 4

    Let paint dry and you have some new candle holders. This is one of the sponge-paint examples.

    P.S. They look much cooler in real life than in the photos.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I ended up making a bunch of these last night. Now, what to do with all of them...
