Picked up a few old neck ties from the second hand shop.

I'm obsessed with the design of the rising sun. I paint it on anything I can.

I got the idea for a totoro one when I saw a totoro scarf somewhere online.

The circuit board one was actually one I did a few years ago. I'm quite fond of the circuit board look too. This is the one painted with fabric paint while the other two are painted with acrylic paint.

Each tie was made of a different material so applying the paint was a bit difficult on them. The totoro one was a more synthetic material so it was like painting on plastic where as the other two were a cotton/silk like material so the paint took many coats for the base (they were originally patterned ties) as the paint just kept soaking into the fabric.
