The movable scaffolding was basically an adjustable platform on wheels. It was probably 3 x 5 feet, so I had quite a bit of room to make big sweeping movements with my paint brush. The real trick to this look was to use 1 part paint to 4 parts glaze, which meant that the paint didn't dry right away and could be blended at the edges of each color. If I hadn't done that, I think it would looked rather cartoon-like. It was fun and I did the whole ceiling in about 6 hours of painting.
