Using a sock to make a doll
I love sock dolls and I love to make them too.
Sock dolls are easy to make and can be very creative. ^_^
I will like to teach you how to make a doll using a sock.

    Prepare a sock.

    Turn the inner side of the sock out and place like the image shown.

    Use a pencil to mark the line. This part if for the head and ears of the owl.

    Sew along the line that marked earlier.

    Cut away the top. Leave 5mm away from the line that sew.

    Cut away the bottom(toes)part of the sock.

    Turn the sock back.

    Fill the sock with cotton and shape it.

    Sew the bottom to close it.

    This is how it look after closing the bottom.

    Now, cut two pieces of felt cloth for the eyes and a small piece for the mouth. Clue them. Sew the eyes and the feather.
    My little owl is BORN~

Hi,
I stitch the feather on. For the bottom, use the straight stitch pull and close it, but you will need to do a few more stitch across to let it close nicely before you knot the end. ^_^;

How did u make the feathers? Dd u draw them on with a marker or did u stitch them on? I also have the same question as Christine...

Cute project, but it would be helpful if you explained how you stitched the bottom to close it. A straight stitch won't pull it like you have it.
