These are insanely good! I took a Martha recipe and switched it up to make it more user friendly! I didn't want to spend 30 minutes over a double boiler! This version whips up quick, and gets eaten even quicker!

Gather your ingredients:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk chocolate and butter in a small bowl. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla on high speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; beat in chocolate. Mix in flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks.

Drop heaping tablespoons of dough 2 to 3 inches apart onto baking sheets. Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until cookies are shiny and crackly yet soft in centers, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on sheets 10 minutes; with a thin metal spatula, transfer to racks to cool completely.

what would you do if you had no brown sugar

Andy - to substitute for 3/4 cup brown sugar, replace it with 3/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 Tbls. of molasses. No molasses on hand? Try maple syrup or honey. The cookies won't be exactly the same, but it is worth trying!

Ohhhh... Those look so good.... Am I correct in thinking they have the consistency of a brownie?
