Once you have all your materials, you may start! First, lay your origami paper so that the color you wish your animal/character to be, down, and the color you don't want it to be, up. Now, fold your paper in half diagonally both ways so that when you open it back up, there is an x on it.

Now flip the paper and make the color you want face up and draw the characteristics you want your animal/character to have. (***Important: the face and the arms have to be in the middle. The middle is where all the lines intersect and make an x. The legs should be drawn in the spot between the face spot and the edge of the paper.)

Let the ink dry and after that, make the side you don't want the color of face down and the side you want the color of face up. Then, fold the paper in half horizontly only one way. Be careful that you don't ruin the picture by smudging the ink.

Find the 2 mountain creases from the horizontal fold you did in the previous step form a triangle by putting it behind the triangle.

Smush it down and it will become a triangle.

You will see 4 flaps: 2 flaps on each side. Fold those flaps up to the top. Do that for all sides: left, right, front and back.

After step 6, it will form a diamond like the picture shows.

You will see another 4 flaps: 2 flaps on each side and fold all of them to the middle crease. (***Important: there are 2 flaps for each: front and back. Make sure that you fold the right flaps to the right side.)

Step 8 will form this six-sided polygon shape automatically.

On one of the edges: either top or bottom, you'll find one with three layers. The first and last layers will have 2 seperate flaps and the middle layer will be just 1. Take the flaps and open the pockets from the folds we did in step 8 and push the flaps in and make a good crease on those.

It will look like this after step 10.Put your fingers into the two sides so that it will be easy to blow in to.

Blow it! Huff, puff!!

It will look like thissss!! Cute, right?

Now, take the small piece of origami paper and cut about 1cm from the bottom edge. Cut off the sides so that it looks like a ice lolli when you look at it.

Don't touch the thing you made in step 14, and just cut the tail out. Keep trimming until you like it.

(OPTIONAL) Draw in the skin pattern of your animal/character on to the tail.

Twist the part we created in step 14. But be careful so that you don't rip the paper.

Fit the twisted end into the hole you blew in from and you are...... DONEEE!!!
