Little decoupage project (and first time attempt and upholstery!) :)
Found a wee table, perfect footstool height on the street and decided it'd make a great wee project for the Oor Wullie annuals I'd just found :)

I've only just realised how terribly Scottish Oor Wullie is when sharing this project with friends that didn't grow up here but, many a fond memory for us highland lassies :)

Huge thanks to my constant muse, my bestie, for suggesting using entirely bucket pictures. Always an inspiration, that's why he gets so many presents :) xx

  • How to make a stool. Oor Wullie Footstool - Step 1
    Step 1

I painted my stool white as a base and then start your decoupage with your preferred medium, I go PVA over glue because wall paper paste is ick.
I did one top coat of PVA and 2 coats of clear varnish to seal and save from scratches.

    Step 2

my wee table fit a regular pillow perfectly so I just stretched my material over it and stapled to hell. I covered my poor upholstery skills, very skillfully, with a wee length of tartan ribbon glued to the underside.
Next time I will be watching tutorials on upholstering :)
