A quick and easy way to add some color to simple bud vases.
I had a lot of vintage bud vases left over from our wedding decorations, so I came up with this simple way to make them the perfect decoration tailored to any season or holiday.

    Get together what you'll need. You need your bud vase, embroidery floss in graduated colors, scissors, and white craft glue.

    Cut your pieces of floss in each color. I made each piece roughy the same length for even layers of color. Uneven layers would look good, too.

    Tie your strings together in order (light, medium, dark, medium, light, etc.). I used triple knots tied really tight so they don't slip when you're wrapping your vase. I also trimmed the excess knot ends closely.

    Start wrapping. Once you have a bit wrapped that will hold itself in place, add a dab of glue to the beginning and rub around to hold the first few wraps together.

    Finish wrapping your string and glue the end in place.
