This was a former spice rack my dad made my mom. She gave it to me, after the divorce, and said i could do what I want with it. :D A crafters dream!

So, I took 4 bottles of paint. 2 black, 1 apple green, and 1 sky-blue. I painted the shelf as you see. While I was painting it, I was trying to figure out what I was going to use it for, then it hit me: jewelry & makeup!

I bought some cork tiles at the dollar store, and made a funky teal-esq colour out of the green & blue, painted it, and lined the two large shelves with the cork - gotta love modge-podge!

Now I have an awesomeshelf, and lots of space for earrings.:D
