  • Completed Project: Off/On The Shoulder Thunderbird Tank Picture #1

The Shirt came with a hat and cost about $6

Go To Walgreens and find these awesome old car tees and make a supah cute off/on the shoulder tank. All you need is 15 minutes a shirt and a pair of scissors! (I'm Thrifty not Cheap)

Okay i did this project last summer so i didn't take any before pix so i'll kind of use another tee.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    1. Wear It

Try the shirt on, make mental notes or physical notes showing how deep you want to scoop the neck.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    2. Cut The Sleeves not The Seams

Cut the sleeves off, but do not cut the seam off, cut the sleeve off. If you leave the seam it allows you to have your shirt semetrical.

But if you want that cool kinda 80s asemetrical look cut the seam off. but if not, leave the seam.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    3. Scooping The Neck

Depending on how deep you want the scoop to be depends siz you want to shoulder to be. The smalled the shoulders are the easier it will tie.

I cut the should half in inch from the seam on both sides while i used the collar as a referrance. I followed the curve of the collar all the way to the other side.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

with 2 inches of shoulder seam you can wear it more like a normal tee

with an one inch of shoulder seam you can wear it as a tank.

with half an inch of shoulder seam you can wear it on or off the shoulder.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    4. Cut and Tie

Where your new shoulder is, cut the seam and tie it back together, and your done. Enjoy!!
