Ode To Betsy
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

Okay, so I secretly love Betsy Johnson. I always have! I can’t afford her stuff – at least most of it… until she launched the Betseyville goodness… her funky line of bags that are to die for (at least in my opinion!) When I saw this make-up bag, I knew it had to do more, be more, in my world than just a make-up bag – it had to be art. So, I quickly whipped up a plan, and, viola – here you have it!

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Spritz inside of each container very lightly with water. (If you are concerned that your bag is too thin and that the spray foam might seep through, substitute with regular floral foam and cut to fit.) Spray in floral foam about 1/3 of the container/bag. Allow to cure for 12 to 24 hours – be sure to keep the bag open and unzipped – the more air the faster it dries.

  2. Step 2

Prep your flowers by cutting them to the desired length, saving the glittered twigs until assembly.

  3. Step 3

Add picks to the ends of the stems using the 3-in-1 Fastener. This will allow for better grip. With this being a non-traditional container, you will want as much grip and hold as you can get.

  4. Step 4

Once the foam has cured, begin to assemble the bag. Zip it up part way, and then decorate the remaining 2/3 of the space available.

  5. Step 5

Place on hydrangea bloom in each of the votive holders. Because they tend to be rather wide, you will probably need to wrap it with floral tape to narrow it in and secure it enough to fit into the container.

  6. Step 6

Go back in and add your glitter twigs per your desired effect.

  7. Step 7

Find a fashionable place to have your latest and greatest creation seen!
