Octopus Brooch In Polymer Clay

  • Completed Project: Octopus Brooch In Polymer Clay Picture #1
  • Completed Project: Octopus Brooch In Polymer Clay Picture #2

Octopus brooch, polymer clay
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

I'm attempting to make my own "cameos" in polymer clay and I thought a little octopus would be cute!
I pressed blue clay into setting for background, made the little octopus and lifted in gently into place.
The seaweed is a strip of green polymer clay folded into shape.
After baking, I painted the eyes with silver acrylic paint, then sprayed it all with acrylic varnish.
Baking the cameo within the setting keeps it in shape, but it needs glued in place when cool.
