the bodice is boned, sandy gold silk and has screenprinted sections, while the skirt is made from raw edged appliqued pieces of blue silk.
the dress is detailed with strips of reclaimed rope, felt "shells" and a chiffon ruffle to the top, while the skirt is both hooped and has an underskirt to give it a wide and wavy shape.
