Hey everyone :) This is a Nyan Cat cake that I made for my partners birthday. The inside of the cake was actually easier than I had thought. I just baked 4 layers of cake and cut the layers into rings of sponge. Then I alternated the colour/ flavour as I put them together.
I used butter cream to help hold the rings together because I was short of time. But you can do it without by assembling the rings, pouring a syrup over them and then wrapping it very tightly and freezing for a bit.
Once assembled I applied a crumb-coat and then covered with the fondant.
